Belle
Capri is located on a 16 acre property near Beachmere just East of
Caboolture in S.E. QLD, owned and managed by Roslyn Kingston with help
from her partner Peter Scriven. Roslyn treats this as a professional
stud operation, not a hobby, and is continually developing the property
to accommodate the studs growing needs.
Ros
and Peter originally came from South West QLD having had a long
involvement with ridden and working horses.
After first seeing miniature horses at the Brisbane Exhibition in
2005, it was decided that there was a future breeding and showing these
incredible horses.
The first colt purchased was "Trabyrne Speaking of
Ice", A Stunning "Fire & Ice" colt bred
by Tracy Byrne. He has proven to be very successful, consistently
achieving at shows in halter and performance classes, proving his
versatility and potential as a future sire.
Then the opportunity presented itself to import "Scott Creek
Daysprings Showkayce", a "Sierra Dawn UNOs Monarch" colt from an "L & D
Scout" daughter. This magnificent horse demonstrates the most fluid
motion, almost elastic in his natural flexibility, with the most
magnificent looks and presence, After his
arrival on Australia day 2006, and actually seeing what this amazing
horse could do, there was no turning back. The potential to breed horses
of this caliber and have them perform in harness was something that just
had to be done.
The task of finding mares to compliment the stallions was made a
little less difficult with the purchase of the entire Goron Toron
miniature horse herd. This FULL AMERICAN herd, although unshown, possess
great bloodlines and has amongst it some very free moving mares.
Belle Capri Miniature Horse Stud has hit the
ground running, it is our intention to breed outstanding miniature
horses for harness which demonstrate true talent along with looks that
turn heads.
Belle Capri is here to stay
